Zac Efron's 'love interest' gushes about actor

October 31, 2009 |19:04 | Gossips  By : Team X

Zac Efron's 'love interest' gushes about actorLangley's Amanda Crew got to do what dozens of Richmond teens were only fantasizing about when Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron landed in Steveston last month to shoot a film. The Lower Mainland actor was past the line of security and inside the Shady Island Seafood Bar and Grill standing directly beside Efron, playing the role of the love interest to Efron's character. While the drama also stars Ray Liotta and Kim Bassinger, Crew didn't get to work with those Hollywood mainstays, but she's not complaining.

"I did however get to work with Zac in almost all my scenes which was an incredible experience. He really blew me away with his talent and abilities. He pushed me and challenged me a lot during our scenes together, trying to get different responses and reactions in each take."  Although this wasn't Crew's first time being a lead in a film, it was the first time she played a lead in a dramatic role opposite a name in a big studio film. Crew described Efron as "an incredibly charismatic, down-to-earth guy." "Once you get over the fact that you are talking to Zac Efron, you get to see that he's just a normal guy who is incredibly passionate about life and what he does. It's really refreshing to see."

Efron takes notice at Covenant House

Zac Efron. Millions know him as a heartthrob actor, singer and dancer-extraordinaire, but evidently, he’s a pretty nice guy, too. Efron was walking past Covenant House’s crisis shelter last week in Vancouver with actress girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, when he struck up a conversation with a young man at the shelter.

“He was quite genuinely interested,” said Michelle Clausius, the group’s associate communications director. The youth who was unavailable for an interview asked for an autograph, but Efron didn’t have anything to sign with and the two parted ways. The next day, said Clausius, Efron’s assistant dropped off a signed photo for the youth at Covenant House’s front desk.

Zac Efron Goes The Extra Mile

October 29, 2009 |10:30 | Gossips  By : Team X

Zac Efron Goes The Extra MileI've made it clear in the past that I find him to be a shimmering, gleaming beacon of hope in the next generation of Hollywood. He continues to prove that he'll either be the next Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt or Leo DiCaprio (and let me tell you something, none of those are bad comparisons). So this little story, as cute and short as it may be, is just another reason why I think he's adorable.

Elaine Lui, who runs Lainey Gossip is reporting that Zac Efron and girlfriend (and High School Musical co-star ) Vanessa Hudgens were taking a stroll in Vancouver and passed by Covenent House. The center houses homeless and at risk Canadian youth. A young man — about the same age as Zac — was standing outside. Zac stopped to chat with the kid. The kid told him that he wants to pursue acting someday and Zac took time to listen to the youth tell his story.

The other film is the thriller 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed', which was shot on the Island earlier this year. Industry Minister David Cretney says, despite the recent difficulties which have been experienced in terms of the number of films produced here, the industry is 'delighted the quality of the productions remains high, and the Island's reputation as a reliable film financier and producer is intact'.

Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens took in the Vancouver Giants game from a private box while the rapper performed at GM Place across town. The super-cute couple was joined by their friend – and High School Musical costar Lucas Grabeel as they cheered the hometeam to victory against the Prince George Cougars. And Hudgens was really feeling the team spirit: She sported a Giants jersey with her name printed on the back. Earlier that day, the actress stepped out for lunch at Glowbal Grill for a bite – and a break from shopping in Yaletown.

Hugh Jackman got the VIP treatment at New York's Metropolitan Opera. The hunky Aussie and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness were there to see Der Rosenkavalier but they also hung out backstage in a green room as guests of star Susan Graham, who said she met Jackman and his family recently on a flight from Tokyo to New York. While the opera singers were signing autographs at the stage door after the performance, Jackman tried to sneak off – but didn't go unnoticed. A group of ladies swooned over the appreciative actor, telling him how much they adored him.

Zac Efron's High School boredom

October 13, 2009 |11:34 | Gossips | Movies  By : Team X

Zac Efron doesn't like his own films. The 'High School Musical' heartthrob insists the early movies he starred don't measure up to his latest, more adult orientated work, 'Me and Orson Wells'. Speaking about the new film, Zac said: "It's the first time I've ever watched a movie I'm in and at the end I'm like, 'OK! I didn't check my watch once!' "

The 21-year-old actor also revealed he annoyed his parents when he was growing up by singing all the time. He added to Nylon Guys magazine: "I was constantly singing. I would hear things on the radio and just be about to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorisation and tone. My parents were like, 'Shut up. Please stop singing. It's annoying.' "
