Zac Efron Education The Art Of The Steal: Teenage girls everywhere, and their mothers, heck, even their aunts, cousins, neighbors and big sisters, are always excited to see Zac Efron signing on for a new movie.  A new movie in which Zac Efron plays a seemingly ordinary guy who lives a double life as a con man and thief.  The worlds “Most Ingenious Thief” according to the Wired magazine article that the movie is based on.

Joshuah Bearman, the author of the original article, will be adapting it for the big screen.  Zac will be playing the subject of his article, Gerald Blanchard.  Bearman isn’t the only one impressed with Blanchard’s ingenuity – the Canadian criminal has been described by police as one of the most sophisticated criminals they’ve ever seen.  The high tech, ornate manor in which Blanchard pulled off his crimes, which spanned three continents, makes him the perfect subject for a film.  So does the fact that Blanchard never used violence to reach his ends.

Efron, who started his career as the star of the “High School Musical,” has been carefully crafting his transition from fresh-faced-singing-and-dancing-teenager to grown up leading man.  Films like “17 Again,” “Me and Orson Wells,” and “Charlie St. Cloud” have shown off his skills and his flexibility - Efron seems to be one of those few actors who can legitimately make audiences laugh and cry with equal ease.  With “The Art of the Steal” we will all see how well he can keep us on the edge of our seats in an action role.  Somehow, it seems like a safe bet that the kid can do!

Zac Efron To Start Conmen Role In her New Movie: Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron has been roped in to star as a conman in the new heist movie Art Of The Steal. The actor will be seen playing the role of a criminal who executes a series of elaborate heists while leading another life as an upstanding citizen. According to variety.com, the 22-year-old High School Musical star will also produce the drama under his Ninjas Runnin' Wild production company.

With such an enormous project in the works, it’s a good thing that Efron and his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens found time to relax in Hawaii this past week to blow off some steam. Speaking of blowing off steam, whom does the ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ star turn to for advice when things get to stressful or he gets a script to consider or even if he just wants to shoot the breeze? None other than Hollywood legend and Scientologist Tom Cruise. According to the “highly credible” National Enquirer, “Zac is extremely shrewd, but he considers Tom a personal and professional guru.

Zac Efron Perform His New Film With Taylor Schilling: Taylor Schilling has literally become the lucky one. She has grabbed a female lead role as well as a chance to star opposite Zac Efron in "The Lucky One", reports say. To nab the highly sought role, she has beaten out other Hollywood stars such as Abbie Cornish and Katie Cassidy who were also in the running.

The film, based on Nicholas Sparks' novel of the same title, follows Efron's character of a soldier who has survived three tours of duty in Iraq and attributes his good luck to a photograph he carried of a woman, portrayed by Schilling, whom he doesn't even know. When he returns to the States, he will seek out the girl and later they develop a relationship.

Zac Efron Vs Justin Timberlake: Actor Zac Efron and singer/actor Justin Timberlake are vying for the same role on the expected feature film “Memphis.” The project is currently wowing viewers as a Tony-winning Broadway play with a feature film adaptation expected in the near future. Both Efron and Timberlake have been spotted in New York City attending the play to check out the lead role of Huey Calhoun, a 1950s era DJ.

At this point no film adaptation is confirmed, however Oliver Stone’s presence in the crowd at the show has led to speculation that such a project is inevitable. Stone reportedly even met with David Bryan, a writer for the show, about doing an adaptation and Bryan is apparently interested in Timberlake playing the role.

Zac Efron And Justin Timberlake In Action Movie: Zac Efron is reportedly set to go head-to-head with Justin Timberlake over a coveted new film role. Both stars are said to want the lead in the movie adaptation of hit Broadway musical "Memphis."

Sources close to Timberlake told the New York Post in May the Memphis, Tennessee native was interested in playing DJ Huey Calhoun in the film version of Bon Jovi star David Bryan's musical, and now BroadwayWorld.com has revealed Efron has seen the show twice in recent months and is also interested. Meanwhile, insiders claim Oliver Stone has met with Bryan and his working partner Joe DiPietro with a view to directing the proposed film. A representative for Stone has confirmed the meetings took place.

Both actors traveled to the Big Apple to check out the show -- Zac Efron twice and are reportedly interested in the lead role of '50s-era radio DJ Huey Calhoun.

There has been no announcement about adapting Memphis as a movie, but a visit to the show by a famous Hollywood director sparked buzz about a potential film project. Oliver Stone has been spotted taking in the musical this past spring, and his rep confirmed that the director met with one of the show's writers, Jon Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, about doing a film adaptation.

Zac Efron Learn Bike Skills By Tom Cruise:Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron was in awe after actor Tom Cruise took him for a tour to his motorcycle warehouse. The two stars met at the office of their agent and Cruise invited the High School Musical star over to his house for a guided tour.

Cruise also taught him how a motorcycle engine worked, and showed him the hangar which houses his collection of two-wheeled wonders, including the Triumphs he rode in the Mission Impossible movies. "It's just so cool that he gave a s**t, the fact that he cared at all," he added.

Zac Efron On Vacation:Zac Efron has revealed that he suffered from a severe allergic reaction to poison oak during a camping trip. The High School Musical actor was cliff jumping with friends in May when he encountered the plant and was quickly infected.

"I went backpacking over Memorial Day weekend and I just got the worst poison oak. It was my first time getting it," he told Details. "Dude, it's like everywhere. Everywhere! I can't even begin to show you, because you'll get so grossed out. I look like a zombie from Dawn of the Dead." Efron also said that Tom Cruise taught him how to ride motorcycles.
